In Memory Of Carl Arndt
Hot Diggity Dog Video
Featuring Carl and Cha Cha

Carl Arndt passed away from Cancer on July 1, 2006. He became a Contact Zonies member in 2002 when he traded in his country western dance hat and boots for an agility hat and shoes and started to run with his beloved Cha Cha, a white miniature Schnauzer.

He maintained his sense of humor and incredible courage for the past year and a half having been in the hospital 8 times. He often remarked that he never realized that he made so many close and caring friendships in the Contact Zonies agility family.

I realize that I can never "fill his shoes" running Cha Cha (since she is so fast).
However, since his shoes fit my big feet I will wear them for the upcoming trials hoping to complete the titling runs that he was never able to finish.

Our sincere thanks to you all for your phone calls, cards, and visits and your support during this difficult time.

Cha Cha and Tango

One of my very first agility shows found me watching a older gentleman and this little white dog just tearing up the agility field. Up to that point I hadn't decided on if I wanted to do agility or not. Watching this man run on the field with his dog and having so much fun started to make me realize that it could be a lot of fun.

Add to the fact that the little dog was back talking to the gentleman and they were putting as much as a comedy show as a agility run it just made me determined to give it a try.

Now, several years later I spend a lot of time with Contact Zonies and helping to run the electronic timers at many of the shows. The same electronic timers that this same gentleman taught me how to setup and program.

Of course I'm talking about Carl Arndt and his amazing Cha Cha.

And though I will continue to be a member and officer of Contact Zonies and go to agility shows to help and hopefully one day complete a trial, it will not be the same without this gentleman that convinced me to give it a go.

Thank you Carl, for everything. We'll miss you my friend.

Respectfully, Stephen Boston.
